Škoda becomes mobility partner of Tour of Holland – Iconic race cars soon in orange and fully electric

Škoda, a longstanding presence in the international cycling peloton, will be the official mobility partner of the Tour of Holland. This brand-new six-day cycling race will debut at the end of 2025 as the innovative successor to the Ronde van Nederland. As part of the partnership, Škoda will provide a full fleet of vehicles, consisting entirely of fully electric and hybrid models – in line with the event’s sustainable ambitions.

Škoda has supported the Tour de France for 22 years. This sponsorship reflects the core values Škoda aims to promote: athleticism, engagement, and reliability. By actively partnering with the Tour, Škoda underscores its support for cycling and strengthens its image as a brand for both car and bike enthusiasts. But it’s equally important for them to showcase their love for cycling in the Netherlands. The Tour of Holland offers exactly that opportunity: a modern, multi-day cycling event across six unique locations, where fans can experience the cars – this time in Dutch orange – up close. And of course, the vehicle fleet is fully electric or hybrid.

Yellow Škodas, Red Škodas – Soon Also Orange and Silent

In addition to the familiar red command cars of the Tour de France, Škoda is also prominently visible with the bright yellow team cars of Team Visma | Lease a Bike – one of the most successful WorldTour teams with strong Dutch roots. Thanks to this partnership, the brand has been a recognizable part of the cycling peloton for years. Now, Škoda is expanding its cycling profile into the Dutch market with a sustainable mobility concept that perfectly aligns with the ambitions of the Tour of Holland.

The full fleet provided by Škoda – including the fully electric Škoda Enyaq and the plug-in hybrid Superb iV – consists of zero-emission or low-emission models. These vehicles will be used by the jury, organization, media, and hospitality teams, thereby supporting the event both operationally and athletically.

Roxane Knetemann, Tour of Holland Ambassador:

“Škoda joining the Tour of Holland is a huge asset. Not just in terms of sport, with their experience in the biggest races, but also because of their sustainable approach. You’ve seen the iconic yellow Visma cars for years alongside the yellow jersey. How great is it that we now get that same recognition in the Netherlands – soon in orange and electric. That makes an impact, both roadside and on the road.”
