Freerunners from more than 25 countries will compete in the FIG Parkour World Cup 2025

From May 16 to 18, 2025, the best parkour athletes from over 25 countries will gather at the NDSM-Werf for the official FIG Parkour World Cup 2025. This prestigious event is part of the Urban Sports Week – Amsterdam 750 edition (USWA). Parkour, also known as Freerunning, is a spectacular blend of athletic mastery and creativity.

Freerunning at a World-Class Level
Freerunners from over 25 countries will participate in the World Cup, with top countries including Italy, France, Sweden, Belgium, Mexico, China, Japan, and the United States.

The competition features two disciplines: ‘Speed’ and ‘Freestyle’. In ‘Speed,’ it’s all about speed and precision, while ‘Freestyle’ pushes the boundaries of creativity and technique.

The iconic NDSM wharf and NDSM warehouse will be transformed into a vibrant urban sports festival, where thousands of fans will gather to cheer on the best freerunners in the world.

Mark van Swieten, national coach of freerunning-parkour on behalf of the Royal Dutch Gymnastics Union (KNGU), is looking forward to the international competition: “It’s fantastic to see the best athletes from so many countries in action against our TeamNL. The Netherlands has built a strong freerun community over the past few years. Noa Diorgina Man and Tangui van Schingen have already secured a spot with their top performances from last year.”

TeamNL Freerunning-Parkour
Noa Diorgina Man and Tangui van Schingen are among the most prominent Dutch freerunners worldwide and will definitely participate in the FIG Parkour World Cup 2025 during the USWA.

Noa, born in 2004 in Delft, started freerunning at the age of seven. At 13, she became the senior Dutch champion, and in 2021, she became the youngest-ever winner of the Red Bull Art of Motion. During the 2022 World Games, she won gold in Freestyle and silver in Speedrun. Her explosive and fluid style makes her a formidable competitor on the international stage.

Noa Diorgina Man is excited: “It’s really cool that for the first time, an international World Cup event is being held in Amsterdam. And for the first time, two different courses will be built for both Freestyle and Speed!”

Tangui van Schingen, born in 2004 in Woensdrecht, is an experienced freerunner who trains at JUMP Freerun. In both 2023 and 2024, he became the Speed World Champion at SPL in Canada and the Dutch Freestyle Champion. Last November, he also placed 3rd in the official FIG World Championships Freestyle in Japan. His technical precision, explosiveness, and speed make him a strong contender for the title.

Tangui van Schingen: “I’m hyped for the World Cup in Amsterdam! It’s super exciting that an international competition is being held in Amsterdam! All the best athletes from around the world will be here trying to take the title, it’s guaranteed to be a spectacle!”
