Better together
In October 2027, the Netherlands will host the IKF World Korfball Championship for the second time, in collaboration with the KNKV and the International Korfball Federation. The tournament, taking place from 14 to 24 October, marks the 125th anniversary of the sport and is the most locally hosted korfball tournament to date. Matches will be played in 12 cities, with the semi-finals and final held in Rotterdam.
The World Championship represents more than top-level sport; it reflects the core values of korfball: equality, teamwork, and social engagement. Under the motto Better Together, the focus is on inclusion, sustainability, and the development of female coaches.
