Orange Support in the Johan Cruijff ArenA
The 2022 World Cup was played in Qatar. For many fans of the Dutch football team, reason to follow and support their heroes in their own country. Together with the Dutch Football Association (KNVB), we therefore created the House of Orange, a giant supporters' home. There, fans could watch the matches of the Netherlands live together with commentary by iconic reporters such as Jack van Gelder and Eddy Poelman. Moreover, the matches were framed by performances and shows by well-known Dutch artists such as Flemming, Emma Heesters, Ronnie Flex, Lucas & Steve, Willeke Alberti and Xander de Buisonjé. According to national coach Louis van Gaal, the support from Amsterdam was a boost for his players.
