A Festival of Connection and Movement
The World Gymnaestrada, like the Olympic Games a quadrennial event, is the biggest logistical operation in terms of participants for TIG Sports & Events to date. For six days, connection, joy, friendship, and movement take center stage. The presence of Lenie Lens (93) and Diny van der Kooij (92), participants in the first Gymnaestrada in 1953 in the Netherlands, gave extra meaning to the celebration of ‘Gymnastics for All’ and the theme ‘Be Amazed’. The World Gymnaestrada showcases the diversity of gymnastics through impressive group performances and choreographies. The counter registered more than 1,000 shows!
